Welcome!
Hi! I’m Brit, the voice behind Life As We Roam; a non formal space filled with my directionally challenged travels, photographs of life’s most special moments, a raw (and unfiltered) guide to raising a free spirited toddler, and pretty much anything in between.
I think I am far wittier than I actually am, but if we can’t laugh at ourselves whats the point right? I enjoy driving to random spots for their claim to fame of “best coffee in town,” dragging around my larger than life lens in hopes to capture something that might end up in a magazine one day, and getting out of the house as much as I can; even if that means running on 2 hours of sleep after a night shift. Oh, I forgot to mention I’m also a full time nurse; to which I have a love/hate relationship with, hence why I am here.
At 24 my life was definitely not where I thought it would be. Living at home again, divorced, raising my son on my own… my parents were really proud (can you sense the sarcasm)? The past year has been one of finding myself, being selfish for the first time, and figuring out that the “normal” life I thought I had was everything short of what I really wanted.
I write like we are friends and I hope to connect with as many of you as I can. So follow along with my uncoordinated journey through this thing we call life, and maybe I’ll figure it out one day, or maybe not. For now, I’m just enjoying the ride (yes I just inserted a cliche phrase) don’t hate me for it.
