30 Day Healthy Living Challenge
I have seen post about Arbonne’s 30 days to healthy living for years but was always a skeptic. As someone who is very passionate about exercise, positive body image and a healthy lifestyle I tend to fall on the questionable side when I see a program that claims to be life changing by using specific company products. In my mind I believe that a healthy lifestyle includes getting in those fruits and vegetables, being physically active and enjoying your life (yes that means eating that pint of Ben and Jerrys).
With more and more people reaching out I started to get intrigued. Of course I was seeing everyone enjoying their teas all day, making their breakfast or lunch smoothies and sipping on their energy fizzies, therefore I started to wonder if the claims (improved energy, decreased bloating, improved digestion and metabolism, possible weight loss) were true. Yet I still decided to push it off due to the cost; I couldn’t imagine spending almost $300 on myself for what seemed like just a weight loss program.
Lets fast forward to April 2020; covid has officially closed all our gyms, we are all quarantined at home, and the snack cabinet is at a constant arms reach. So after months and months of saying no I decided to finally say yes after heavy convincing and huge expectations. So, not only did I pay $300 for the program but I also made the commitment to give up bread, cheese, wine, and pretty much anything fun to eat… oh joy, this was going to be an interesting month.
If you’ve never heard of Arbonne and their claim to fame 30 days of healthy living let me lay it out for you. Our gut contains healthy bacteria and is the epicenter to reflect overall health. Acne, fatigue, bloating, headaches, digestive issues and weight plateau are all signs of toxicity in our bodies and therefore by achieving a complete gut reset we can alkaline the body to decrease inflammation, replace healthy bacteria for cellular regeneration and increased absorption of nutrients. For 30 days you give up inflammatory and acidic foods which includes; coffee, gluten, alcohol, dairy and anything processed. You can decide to then replace either 1 or 2 meals with a nutrient dense protein shake and then the other meals and snacks are all clean based recipes based on the eliminated food lists. On top of this you drink the probiotic digestion plus, detox tea, fizz sticks to curb the caffein cravings and a 7 day cleans!
The first few days were challenging to say the least. I’m not afraid to say I am addicted to coffee, I mean can you really blame me; a toddler who doesn’t sleep and I work night shift. My body basically runs on coffee and quick/easy snacks (maybe this was why I was feeling a lot of stomach issues lately). So I struggled through those first few days of headaches and drank my fizz sticks like crack to hopefully ease the pain of it all. Come day 6 I was finally starting to feel different. The headaches were gone, my stomach had settled out, I had a new kick of energy and I started to really believe in this program. Throughout the next few weeks the effects became stronger and more clear.
All in all no, Arbonne will not change your life. These products do not just magical drop the pounds. The fizz sticks might change your life though if you have really been wanting to kick the coffee cravings. What does change your life is the choices you make throughout this program and how well you decide to follow it. I did lose weight; 11 lbs to be exact (I went from 137 to 126) but this wasn’t my take home experience high. What this program really brought to light is the intolerance I had to certain inflammatory type foods that I never really understood before. For years my stomach never felt right; struggling with painful bloating, indigestion, and cramping. After cutting out gluten and dairy I now know that those products are NOT for me. Cue day time sitcom crowd noise “awww” for no more fresh baguettes and cheese. While I think my body can maybe handle these items on a small dose I now plan to have an 80/20 diet with foods that just don’t sit right with me. So if you’ve ever thought about doing the 30 day program go for it. Seriously. Our bodies can use a true reset every now and then.
The second thing I got out of this was that I signed up to be an independent consultant for Arbonne. Now, before you go thinking that I’m only promoting the product because I’m selling it hear me out. I genuinely love the product and this company’s values thus why I decided to sell it. While the United States only bans about 40 of the over 4000 chemicals out there, Arbonne is a Swedish company and bans almost all of these, is cruelty free and their nutritional supplements are plant based. Knowing that I am fueling my body with vegan supplements and applying clean and chemical free products to my skin is so important to me. Not only do I get access to these products at a great discount, but I also gained a huge group of supportive and driven women who encourage me daily in my business as well as in life, all while bringing in an income from my phone! I could talk about the amazing benefits that have been offered for my family through Arbonne and if you are interested in more lets chat!
